Huggins, Healey Move On To Zone Championships After Solid Performances For Equestrian At IHSA Regionals

BOXFORD, Mass.-- Two members of the Stonehill equestrian team qualified for IHSA Zone championship competition on Sunday afternoon with solid performances at the IHSA Regional Championships at Springtide Farm.
Senior Anna Huggins (Uxbridge, Mass.) captured her class of the intermediate fences, while senior Kalyn Healey (Plympton, Mass.) was reserve champion in both the open fences and open flat for the Skyhawks. Huggins and Healey will compete next weekend at the IHSA Zone 1 Championships to be hosted by Mount Holyoke.
Junior Sara Zelazny (San Diego, Calif.) and freshman Sarah Gryzmala (Clifton Park, N.Y.) placed third and fourth, respectively, for Stonehill in the walk trot, while junior Brooke Clifford (Rehoboth, Mass.) and freshman Jamie Marsalise (Laurel Hollow, N.Y.) each recorded fourth place performances in the open fences and intermediate fences, respectively.
Stonehill finished fourth in the IHSA Regional competition on the day.
