Amedeo Captures High Point Rider Honors As Equestrian Takes High Point Champion Team Honors At Endicott Horse Show

GEORGETOWN, Mass.-- The Stonehill equestrian team solidified its lead in the IHSA Zone 1, Region 4 standings by taking high point champion honors at the Endicott Horse Show on Saturday afternoon, as senior Kelsey Amedeo (Springfield, Mass.) led the way for the Chieftains by earning high point rider honors with first place performances in the open fences and open flat. Amedeo also qualified for the IHSA Regionals in both events and is leading the region?s Cacchione Cup high point rider competition for the season.
Senior Sarah Muller (Bridgewater, Mass.) added a first place finish in the novice flat for Stonehill, which also received a pair of first place performance in the walk trot canter from sophomore Lynne Adams (Averill Park, N.Y.) and freshman Renee Rogers (Ashland, Mass.). Sophomore Brooke Clifford (Rehoboth, Mass.) and Jessica Maskell each posted first place finishes in the intermediate flat for the Chieftains, while juniors Jessica Workman (Hooksett, N.H.) and Kalyn Healey (Plympton, Mass.) were first in the walk trot and open fences, respectively.
Stonehill will compete next at the Holiday Tournament of Champions in early December.
