BEVERLY, Mass.-- The Stonehill equestrian team placed fourth among 12 teams competing at the Endicott Intercollegiate Horse Show on Saturday afternoon, as Boston University captured high point champion honors while Tufts, Wellesley and host Endicott each share reserve champion accolades.
Sophomore Megan Buono (Bayonne, N.J.) finished first in the novice flat and second in the novice fences for the Skyhawks, who also received first place performances from freshman Lauren Kasnet (Rye Beach, N.H.) and Sarah Grzymala (Clifton Park, N.Y.) in the novice fences and walk trot, respectively. Juniors Brooke Clifford (Rehoboth, Mass.) and Sara Zelazny (San Diego, Calif.) added second place finishes in the open fences and walk trot canter, respectively, for Stonehill in the competition.
Stonehill returns to action on Sunday morning when the Skyhawks travel to Hanover, Mass. to participate in the Boston University Intercollegiate Horse Show that begins at 9:00 a.m.
