2012: Appeared in 36 games for Stonehill making 34 starts. Made all 34 starts behind the plate for the Skyhawks. Hit .220 (26-for-118) with two doubles and 15 runs batted in. Posted a .237 slugging percentage and a .308 on-base percentage. Compiled a .970 fielding percentage in 271 chances (239 putouts, 24 assists, eight errors). Hit .400 with a runner on third base and less than two outs (4-for-10). Had seven two-out RBI's. Collected three multi-hit games and three multi-RBI games. Stonehill went 20-14 when he started behind the plate. Went 1-for-3 with one run batted in for the Skyhawks in his season debut on February 24. Had a four-game hitting streak from February 25 to March 4. Compiled four hits during that span and two runs batted in. Went 4-for-5 with two runs scored, one RBI and a pair of doubles against the University of Bridgeport on March 16. Drew 11 walks on the season including three-straight games with a walk from April 11 to April 15 against Bentley University and Southern New Hampshire University, respectively. Recorded ten or more putouts in seven games. Reached base safely via a hit, walk or hit-by-pitch in his first ten-straight games to start the season. Had four sacrifice hits, third most on the squad. Did not groundout into a double play all year. Only one of three players to do so with a minimum of 100 at-bats.
Previous College: Attended Bryant University from 2010-11. Was a member of the baseball team. Batted .269 (18-for-67) with six runs scored, one triple and nine runs batted in. Posted a .992 fielding percentage with 117 putouts, 15 assists and one error.

Personal: Born on June 23, 1992. Son of Karla and David Shepard of Boxford, Mass. Has four siblings, Brendan (22), Kyle (21), Jacqueline (16) and Michelle (9). Brother Brendan was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in 2011 MLB Draft in the 28th round with the 862nd pick overall. Brendan was also a member of the Stonehill baseball team. Kevin Shepard played baseball at Boston College and for the Philadelphia Phillies. Father, David, played basketball at Bentley College. Environmental Studies major at the college. Lists Chipper Jones as favorite athlete and Atlanta Braves as favorite team.
