Vaughn, Kelly Tabbed As Skyhawk Athletes Of Week For Respective Performances During Week Of April 30-May 6

Two individuals have been honored as the Skyhawk Athletes of the Week for their performances during competition for the Stonehill baseball and women's lacrosse teams for the week of April 30-May 6.

Senior Matt Vaughn earns the nod as the Skyhawk Male Athlete of the Week after batting .308 in three contests for the Stonehill baseball team last week. A native of Bow, N.H. and a graduate of Bow High School, Vaughn rapped out an RBI triple in a 2-0 victory over Southern New Hampshire and collected a pair of hits before recording his fourth save of the spring in a 3-1 triumph over Assumption.

Sophomore lacrosse standout Michelle Kelly earns the honor as Skyhawk Female Athlete of the Week for her efforts in leading Stonehill to its eighth straight Northeast-10 Conference championship this past weekend. A native of Mendham, N.J. and a graduate of West Morris Mendham High School, the 2007 Northeast-10 Defensive Player of the Year netted seven goals and three assists during the conference championships, including four goals and three assists in an 18-7 semi-final win over Merrimack and a hat trick in a 9-7 championship match triumph over Bentley en route to earning the nod as the tournament's Most Valuable Player.
