Equestrian Maintains Hold On IHSA Regional Lead With Solid Performances At Stonehill Fall Horse Show

MILLIS, Mass.-- The Stonehill equestrian team, which is currently leading the IHSA Zone 1, Region 4 standings in the early part of the season, hosted its Fall Horse Show on Saturday afternoon at Ridgetop Farm.
Seniors Dyanna Rucco (Rehoboth, Mass.) and Kelsey Amedeo (Springfield, Mass.) rode off for High Point Rider of the Day honors, which were won by Rucco. Both riders won their respective open flat and open fences classes, while junior Kalyn Healey (Plympton, Mass.) and sophomore Mary Shawn DeGaetano (South Huntington, N.Y.) won their respective open flat and intermediate fences classes. Senior Jessica Maskell (Attleboro, Mass.) placed first in the novice fences and second in the intermediate fences for the Chieftains, while senior Sarah Muller (Bridgewater, Mass.) was first in her novice flat class.
Freshman Lynne Adams (Averill Park, N.Y.) won in the beginner walk trot canter, while junior Shannon Tibbits (West Kingston, R.I.) was first in the intermediate flat. Freshman Kristina Grossman (Dix Hills, N.Y.) placed second in both the novice fences and flat for Stonehill, while junior Kim Foley (Warwick, R.I.) was third in the beginner walk trot canter.
