October 27, 2006 - Junior Ali Boulis net a pair of goals to lift the fifth ranked Skyhawks to their first ever Northeast-10 Conference Field Hockey Championship.  Boulis' two goals were apart of a 3-0 victory over Assumption.


Aly Makes Eight: Boulis Featured In Sports Illustrated
 

 Aly Boulis joins seven other Stonehill student-athletes to be featured in Sports Illustrated, including teammate Caitlin Gleason.



Easton, Mass. - High-scoring, senior field hockey standout Aly Boulis (Lincoln, R.I.) will join an elite list of seven other Stonehill student-athletes who have appeared in "Faces in the Crowd", a long-running segment of the famed sports magazine, Sports Illustrated, when the October 22, 2007 edition of the weekly periodical hits newsstands this week.

Boulis, who joins five other athletes from across the country in this week's issue, is being honored for winning Northeast-10 player of the week for the second time this season after scoring twice in wins over Southern Connecticut and Franklin Pierce. They were her fourth and fifth multi-goal games of the season.

The Lincoln, R.I. native is third in the Northeast-10 in goals (13) and fourth in points (27). She has 94 career points, second most in school history and occupies three of the top six spots on the school's single season goals list.

The other seven Stonehill student-athletes who have been profiled are current women's lacrosse head coach, Katie Lambert (June 16, 2003); Rob Pascale (Ice Hockey, December 28, 2003); Lauren Stone (Women's Lacrosse, May 16, 2004); Kelsey Simonds (Women's Basketball, January 23, 2006); Brendan O'Brien (February 20, 2006); Erin Acone (Women's Lacrosse, June 12, 2006) and Boulis' teammate, Caitlin Gleason (Field Hockey, October 2, 2006).    

The magazine, which has over three million subscribers, is read by over 23 million people each week and has featured more than 15,000 different athletes in its "Faces In The Crowd" section.
