May 11, 2003 - Stonehill College claimed their first Women's Lacrosse NCAA National Championship defeating Longwood, 9-8.  Freshman Erin Acone scored three times and added an assist.

Amanda Arpe returns for her third season as the Stonehill College Assistant Field Hockey Coach. The Bourne native graduated from Hobart & William Smith Colleges in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts in History, American Studies and was a member of the 2000 Division III National Championship Field Hockey squad. Arpe helped lead the Skyhawks to a combined 26-17 record in the past two seasons. Previous to coaching at Stonehill, Arpe worked as an assistant coach for the YES Clinic at the Division III Final Four at Springfield College. She also served as an assistant coach for the East West Field Hockey Camps at Keene State, Worcester State, C.W. Post and Santa Barbara.
