of Athletic Communications handles all internal and external
communications efforts for the College's 20 intercollegiate
programs.

Media and Photography Credentials
Credentials are issued to members of the working media only. Please
contact Doug Monson, Director of Athletic Communications, for
credentials. Parents or relatives of student-athletes are not
permitted to be on the sidelines for photography purposes for any
sport. Passes for credentialed media will be left at will call for
events taking place at W.B. Mason Stadium. Passes should be
requested no later than 48 hours prior to a contest to ensure space
availability.
Interview
Policies
All requests for interviews must be made through Doug Monson,
regardless of sports or previous relationships. Requests must be
made at least one day in advance to allow the student-athlete or
coach to be properly notified. If a telephone interview is
necessary, arrangements can be made for the student-athlete to
contact the media member. Student-athlete phone numbers will never
be issued to media members by the Athletic
Communications office.
Practice Coverage
Stonehill College's athletic programs practice at specific times
during the academic year. All student-athletes and
coaches are available for interviews prior to, or following,
practice as long as the media member has made proper contact with
Doug Monson. Interviews are not granted on game days prior to
competition.
Media Parking
Because of construction on campus, there is no designated parking
area for media members. The lot in closest proximity to all
athletic events in the parking lot behind the Sally Blair Ames
Sports Complex, which has ample parking.
Press Box Facilities/Services
The media areas at W.B. Mason Stadium and Merkert Gymnasium are
available for only credentialed members of the media. All members
of the working media will be provided with game notes, statistics
and rosters before each contest. Statistics will be distributed at
halftime and complete statistical packages will be provided
following the contest. Media members can file stories from the W.B.
Mason Stadium press box or the Athletic Communications office
following the game.
Post-Game Interviews
Interviews with Stonehill student-athletes and head coaches will
take place following the NCAA mandated 10-minute cooling-off
period. The Skyhawks' locker room is closed to the media both
for home and road contests. Doug Monson, or a member of the
Athletic Communications office staff, will assist in securing media
members with post-game interviews. Interviews with opposing players
must be arranged with the opposing team's sports information
personnel, or through Doug Monson or the team's head coach in their
absence.
