Chiaranda is entering her third year at Stonehill as an assistant athletic trainer. In her role, she assists with the management and daily operation of the athletic training department and provides primary coverage for field hockey, football, men's basketball and women's lacrosse. 

Prior to being named assistant athletic trainer, Chiaranda served as an athletic training student at Stonehill for a year while earning her masters degree from Bridgewater State in Physical Education with a concentration in athletic training.  As a student she assisted with coverage of the football and basketball programs.  

Before earning her masters, she served as a diet technician at BU Medical Center from 2004-2005 and was also a nutrition care representative at Fletcher Allen Healthcare from 2002-2004. 

Chiaranda graduated from the University of Vermont in 2002 with a degree in Nutrition and Food Sciences, with a concentration in sports nutrition. 

Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, she currently resides in Somerville, Mass.
