6th Annual Friends of Stonehill Athletics Golf Tournament

In its sixth year, the Annual Friends of Stonehill Athletics Golf Tournament will be returning to the beautiful shores of Cape Cod. Nicknamed the "Pebble Beach of the East", the Ocean Course at New Seabury in Mashpee, Massachusetts will serve as our host for the second straight year.

With its spectacular views of Nantucket Sound and Martha's Vineyard, New Seabury is a premier, exclusive, private country club that offers innumerable amenities that will enhance your experience at this year's tournament. Rated as one of the top 50 courses in the United States by the ESPN Golf Guide, the Ocean Course at New Seabury will provide championship caliber golf. Furthermore, the Clubhouse at New Seabury, with it's expansive views of Nantucket Sound, will be a stunning location for our post-tournament banquet dinner. In 2007, the second year the tournament came to New Seabury, the event sold out! So, if you are interested in playing, please be sure to register early.

The Annual Friends of Stonehill Athletics Golf Tournament was established in 2003 to celebrate the athletic achievements of our student-athletes and to garner encouragement and financial support for their increasingly impressive athletic achievements. In five years, this tournament has raised over $85,000 to fund scholarship enhancements, equipment upgrades, and other critical initiatives of the Department of Athletics. The Department's capture of the 2005-06 Northeast-10 Conference President's Cup, an award based on athletic success across all programs in the conference, as well as the three NCAA National Championships captured by Stonehill student-athletes in the past four years are wonderful examples of the achievements made possible by the continued support of Stonehill alumni and friends thru events such as the Annual Friends of Stonehill Athletics Golf Tournament.

Again, this year's event will be held on Monday June 23rd at the Ocean Course at the Country Club at New Seabury in Mashpee, Massachusetts. The event will be a shotgun best ball scramble with dinner following the tournament in the spacious and elegant Clubhouse. Registration per golfer is $225. There are also event sponsorship opportunities available for interested alumni and businesses.
