The Tradition Continues....

The Annual Friends of Stonehill Athletics Golf Tournament was established in 2003 to celebrate the athletic achievements of our student-athletes and to garner encouragement and financial support for their increasingly impressive athletic accomplishments. In 12 years, the tournament has raised over $160,000 to help support the endeavors and achievements of our student-athletes, which include seven National Championships, four Northeast-10 Conference Presidents’ Cups for Athletic Excellence, and a #8 ranking for academic success amongst NCAA Division II institutions with an Academic Success Rate (ASR) of 96%.

These wonderful examples of athletic and academic success are only a small example of the great achievements of Stonehill student-athletes made possible by the continued support of Stonehill alumni and friends. Proceeds from this tournament will be earmarked to support student-athlete scholarships.

This year’s event will be held on May 18th, returning to the Stonehill College area at Thorny Lea Golf Club, less than two miles from campus, in Brockton, Massachusetts. The event will be shotgun best ball scramble and will begin at noon. A tournament banquet dinner will follow shortly after the tournament in the Clubhouse. Numerous sponsorship opportunities are also available for interested alumni and businesses.
