April 27. 1981 - Stonehill Softball earned their second consecutive MAIAW Division III State Championship with a 4-3 victory over Holy Cross.  A late single from Sharon Donovan scored Elissa Santos and Sally Scully to give Stonehill the win.  The win gave the College their first appearance in the EAIAW Division III Regional Tournament.

Rick Carvalho, a graduate of Hollis/Brookline, leads the Stonehill College in scoring with five goals and two assists through the first 13 games, including 12 starts. Carvalho, a senior midfielder, is also tied for the team lead with 18 shots on net.
