Payne's 51st hit broke the previous mark held by Nicki Champagne. Payne also pitched the first five innings of the game for the win.

Tom MacDonald, a member of the school's
second graduating class, was a two-sport athlete for the baseball
and boxing teams. He most recently served as an
assistant coach for the football program. Over the years, Tom has
provided numerous opportunities for countless Stonehill
student-athletes, including furnishing facilities and equipment.
