May 5, 1990 - Sharon Birnie, a junior on the Stonehill College Equestrian team, became the first Stonehill student to ride in the intercollegiate national competition.  Birnie, who competed in Novice Jumping, placed second at both the regionals and zone competition to earn her spot at nationals.

A volleyball standout, Ginny Duggan joins her sister Terry as a member of the Athletic Hall of Fame. Duggan helped lead Head Coach Bob West's Stonehill squad to a career-record of 69-47 (.595).  She was a two-time All-Northeast-10 Conference selection and the team's Co-Most Valuable Player during each of her four seasons. Ginny started every game of every match during her four years at Stonehill College.  Duggan capped her career by leading the College to 22 victories during her senior season and a berth in the 1990 Northeast-10 semifinals.
